I am a technically minded product designer, with experience of product development, prototyping and manufacture. I have a comprehensive knowledge of Solidworks, particularly solid and sheet metal modeling. In addition to this I have graphic design experience working with Adobe Creative Suite for print, web and brand development applications.

New Product Introduction Designer at Flakt Woods

Flakt Woods Colchester specialises in the manufacture and sale of axial flow fans, with a strong focus on new technologies and developing new products. I work as part of a small team to deliver products set out by technical, commercially targeted briefs. Projects are handled independently in collaboration with many areas of the company. Within the projects I have led, my responsibilities have extended from creative development and prototyping, to design for manufacture and time management. The three new ranges developed, totaling 15 fans, involved working closely with both the sales team (on the client side) and in-house manufacturing team to create cost-effective and efficient solutions.
